The banking platform, released on Oct. 16, 2026, gave banks and credit unions one ledger for stablecoins and fiat that sat alongside their existing core systems. NFA.

Matera Workspace came from Matera and focused on a single integration point. Banks and credit unions could add the platform without changing how their main systems already ran day to day.

Digital Twin ledger details

The release described a Digital Twin ledger that treated dollars, euros and stablecoins as balances of equal standing. A bank could therefore display USDC next to US dollars inside one account view. That structure kept the numbers side by side rather than in separate places.

Tools included in the package

The platform bundled the ledger with Secure Payment QR support and custody integrations that were already prepared. Customers handled trades directly with the bank instead of going through any separate marketplace.

Connection to existing cores

All parts linked to a bank’s current core through one connection. The approach avoided the need for multiple new links or custom builds on the bank side.

Who could use the platform

The release stated the platform became available for banks, credit unions and fintechs on the same October date. Each group could offer stablecoins beside fiat while the original systems stayed unchanged.

How the pieces worked together

A single ledger view replaced the older habit of checking separate records for each asset type. The equal-standing balances meant dollars and stablecoins appeared on the same screen with the same weight. Secure Payment QR support and custody tools arrived ready to use once the one integration was complete. Trade activity stayed inside the bank relationship rather than moving to an outside venue.

What stayed the same for banks

Core systems continued to run as before. The new platform sat next to them and fed the unified view without requiring replacement work. Banks and credit unions kept their existing processes while adding the ability to show stablecoin positions in the same account screen.

The October 16 release therefore centered on giving banks and credit unions a practical way to present both asset types together. The Digital Twin ledger supplied the equal balance view, the bundled tools added payment and custody functions, and the single integration kept everything connected to what was already in use.
